Default Difference...

Sorry, bad question. I haven't played GW in quite awhile, just bought a new comp though and looking to start again. I played the original, and didn't buy Factions, Nightfall or GWEN yet.

Should I be purchasing Nightfall and GWEN?
Is there alot of differences between the original and nightfall that I should buy it instead of playing GWEN off of the original?

Thanks,

Luke

Nightfall has a much better story line, added voice over, lip synching, added Hero's, two new professions. The way they "reuse" zones does not make NF feel as A->B->C->D, etc that orginal GuildWars has.

Eyes of the North is an "add-on" for lvl 20 content aka some more stuff to do but it's not a "complete" game in sense of the amount of content (does have a story line) and the Hall of Monuments which will be used for GW1 acomplishments to unlock in GW2. It works with any of the 3 games.

I would at least get one of them so you do have Hero's.

If you like melee, Nightfall is worth buying so you can play the dervish class.

Also, Nightfall is great because you'll get access to customizable heros, which make solo play much more interesting.

Personally, I like Factions. Not as good as the others, but not terrible. Most reviewers gave Factions scores in the 80s. Plus, you can pay rits and assassins.

People suggested getting nightfall for the heroes among other things. If you're gonna buy the game mainly for heroes, then you might as well get GW:EN since it adds heroes as well (one of each profession). Also GW:EN is kinda the sequel of prophecies so you might be interested in that too. Just keep in mind that as previously stated, it is an expansion and doesn't include any pre lvl 20 content and that the story is a little bit shorter than that of the other campaigns.

I'd say if you have the other games, then GW:EN is a must. Especially if you have prophecies.

Nightfall is good if you want a chance to play a paragon or dervish. Or if you want any duplicate heroes(GW:EN has 1 of each, nf has a few doubles.)

Depends on what your playstyle is too. If you like to do missions without other people, then Heros make this a lot easier to do. Nightfall has more Heros. If you are looking for another complete game, Nightfall is also that, GW:EN is an expansion. Less content, but more stuff for your level 20 character to do opposed to starting a brand new character or crashing the party halfway through on an old one.

Nightfall does have some grind though, it isn't bad though. Sunspear points to proceed. Just make sure to pick up bounties and you wont have any trouble getting past the quests/missions that require a certain rank.

It sounds like i'm endorsing Nightfall... but really I'd get GW:EN. I got it and love it. GW:EN has relatively decent quests, someone non-linear (but short) storyline, repeatable dungeons and dwarven headbutt skills.

Headbutting ftw.

Though if you are more into PvP, get Nightfall. GW:EN was pretty much geared towards PvE.
